Partnering with YOU to Reach Austin
The Austin Baptist Association is an alliance of participating congregations fulfilling the Great Commission.
It is our desire for every Southern Baptist church in Austin to be a participating member of the ABA.
The qualifications laid out by the ABA Constitution are simple:
- Each member church is encouraged to contribute 3% of its undesignated annual receipts to the work of the ABA. The minimum level of participation will be either 1% of undesignated annual receipts of $30,000.00 (whichever is less).
- At least once every three years, each member church will be involved in sponsoring, co-sponsoring, partnering with or otherwise actively participating in a new church plant in the Austin area.
- Each member church will participate in “Great Commision” efforts with ABA member churches at least once a year.
- Each member church will submit an annual report prior to the October Regular Meeting.
