Read our October newsletter -

Since last month, we have received a number of requests for our newsletter. It is great to know so may of you are reading it. We want to be clear about what we are going to do and we definitely do not want anyone to quit receiving it. If you can take it electronically, please let us know so we can save on postage. There are three choices: email, mail or website. Email Caitlyn at caitlyn@austinbaptist.org if you wish to receive it by email. If you wish to receive it by mail, please call us at 512-454-2558 or drop us a note with name, address, 5-digit zip code and a phone number, so we can contact you if we should have any questions. This will also enable us to update our records. We are now outsourcing the printing and mailing of the newsletter, and your information will be helpful so that we may best steward God’s funds. Thank you.

The Austin Baptist Association will be a catalyst alongside Great Commission churches to reach all people groups with the Gospel transforming our community and world through the power of God. - ABA Vision Statement

Partnering with YOU to Reach Austin

Austin-TX

The Austin Baptist Association is an alliance of participating congregations fulfilling the Great Commission.

It is our desire for every Southern Baptist church in Austin to be a participating member of the ABA.

The qualifications laid out by the ABA Constitution are simple:

  1. Each member church is encouraged to contribute 3% of its undesignated annual receipts to the work of the ABA. The minimum level of participation will be either 1% of undesignated annual receipts of $30,000.00 (whichever is less).
  2. At least once every three years, each member church will be involved in sponsoring, co-sponsoring, partnering with or otherwise actively participating in a new church plant in the Austin area.
  3. Each member church will participate in “Great Commision” efforts with ABA member churches at least once a year.
  4. Each member church will submit an annual report prior to the October Regular Meeting.
